Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for the daily contact between the Agency and Clients. The Candidate will interface with various agency departments to move things through on behalf of the client. The Account Manager has significant input in developing strategic marketing plans for assigned clients. The Account Manager is responsible for implementing approved strategic plans.

The Account Manager is also responsible for gaining new business opportunities from existing clients. This position is not a sales position but is considered a service position, and advising clients on new and exciting products will be an essential function of the job. This position reports to the Director of Client Services, and is a full-time position Monday through Friday, 9 am to 6 pm with the possibility of working extended hours and weekends as needed. The work environment is innovative and embraces an entrepreneurial and career-minded team of individuals in a business-casual atmosphere.

Key Functional Areas of Responsibility
  • Will handle the day-to-day activities of all client accounts on a daily basis.
  • Keeps track of the progress on projects through production and traffic managers or other relevant personnel on all accounts.
  • Receives client briefings, composes Client Contact Reports for all client meetings and distributes to appropriate agency personnel.
  • Quickly and accurately relays Client Change Orders to all appropriate agency personnel.
  • Effectively presents, sells and defends all agency work/proposals to clients; supports other client service team members in these functions.
  • Keeps apprised of client’s brands/products/services/marketing developments.
  • Assists in preparing client invoices, proposals/marketing communications and strategic marketing plans, media and public relations programs.
  • Regularly checks for and responds promptly to all client communications, including calls, texts, emails and online discussions, i.e., Skype, Google Hangouts.
  • Coordinates with all agency personnel to ensure Agency clients receive unified marketing efforts.
  • Overseas execution of approved programs.
  • Checks and approves creative/production materials, copy, layouts, production, art, and coordinates client approval of same.
  • Reviews all billing information before sending to clients for accuracy; ensures prompt collection of accounts receivable.
  • Informs account supervisor (Director, Client Services) regularly of account progress for all assigned clients; involves account supervisor (Director, Client Services) immediately in the event of potential problems, i.e., client/agency relations, budget overruns, etc.
  • Coordinates project timing and budgets with all relevant agency personnel.
  • Actively seeks additional projects/new business from client contracts.
  • Keeps account coordinator informed of client activities.
  • Always represents our agency in a professional and presentable manner at industry and community functions.
Professional Skills & Qualifications
  • Must have 2 years of experience working in Account Management; Digital Media experienced preferred.
  • Must have great verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must have excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites.
