Summary

The SEO Specialist is responsible for executing Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Online Reputation Management (ORM), and Content Marketing campaigns through technical on- and off-site optimization strategies. The position will play an integral role in increasing rankings, driving leads and bolstering online sales for top-tier clients. The ideal candidate is able to quickly understand and support initiatives that will contribute to the goals and success of client and company Internet marketing programs.

This is an on-site, full-time position Monday through Friday from 9 am to 6 pm with the possibilities of working extended hours and weekends. The work environment is innovative and embraces an entrepreneurial and career-minded team of individuals in a business-casual atmosphere.

Key Functional Areas of Responsibility
  • Work with Sr. SEO Specialist to support campaign strategies and achieve client goals
  • Perform website and competitor analysis using various SEO tools
  • Research and analyze keyword strategies
  • Write meta tags and effective calls-to-action
  • Collaborate with Content team to develop content topics and strategies designed to meet client goals
  • Write and create engaging, useful, optimized content for a variety of verticals
  • Optimize and publish content to client sites through WordPress and FTP
  • Execute link building and link profile management activities including opening accounts, webmaster outreach, relationship building, etc.
  • Execute local search optimization activities including citation building and cleanup, review solicitation, and on-site GEO-targeting modifications
  • Participate in social media initiatives to drive traffic and brand awareness through content publishing, fan acquisition and engagement
  • Work with Design and Development teams to implement SEO and UX best practices
  • Advocate for SEO, ORM and Content Marketing Best Practices
  • Monitor and administer web analytics dashboards
  • Understand key reporting metrics
  • Utilize reporting tools to prepare monthly client reports
  • Deliver key analysis points and solutions derived from client reports
  • Assist in analysis and strategy development for new business proposals
  • Keep abreast of the latest algorithm changes, SEO tools and techniques

  • Passion for Internet marketing and self-education in industry principles

  • Thorough knowledge of on-page SEO
  • Experience in developing and executing on link profile management strategies
  • Experience in utilizing social media channels to achieve SEO goals
  • Experience in optimizing for local search results
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience in Google Analytics and Search Console (Webmaster Tools)
  • Knowledge of and experience executing technical on-site optimization
  • Working knowledge of WordPress and HTML
  • GAIQ certification a plus
  • Experience in an agency setting a plus
  • BS/BA degree preferred
